Evening!

I was just wondering if Silkroad Forums would allow a rep points system. I use other forums and one of my favourites uses the same. It's a point based system that gives users greater status (represented in bars under the user name) to those whom deserve it. You may give posotive and negative points.

Not only does it let you know who is well known for good advice, but it also points out shady characters.

YES it does give some people MASS ego trips and they think they have the biggest E-Dicks. But I beleive this is one of the more MATURE forums and may even push some of those pre-pubecents over the line!

I feel people will simply use it as a venue to attack others

Btw for rep not a good idea. people will just vote negative for everyone, reason: they get mad, they have nothing better to do, for fun or just human nature walk over corpses to personal glory

We're looking into this but only mods will be able to +rep normal users and they're will be a strict guideline to apply to be +reped. Still think its worth it?

we would liek just rep if someone does something really outstanding.

Like I said there'll be STRICT guidelines as to when we give +rep and ppl can apply for rep points. We'll just be as unbiased as possible and if we're not =) shoot us.
