You will most likely never see allowed HTML in posts. I don't even want to begin the problems that can cause.

Concerning the youtube embeds, (although inappropriate content isnt *supposed* to be on youtube) inappropriate content will be treated the same as inappropriate images.

sorry i was browsing and notice you have a youtube bbcode and thought considering iv added this to my site and done some coding for a stage6 one (couldnt get that to work) thought i would offer you some coding i didnt write this myself its for a unnamed youtube mod i got from someone on my site who helps with the coding and such

i have no played with phpbb3 much yet but i know with phpbb2 you can set the html codes allowed to be used.

You're right. Generally if people want HTML they want to do stuff they can't do in BB codes. BB codes provide some basic formatting, more than enough for a paragraph or two of text, so having HTML

1. Would cause troubles if not only having limited features
2. However limited features are available in BB code

It just probably won't happen, ever =\ in the history of Internet and Forums.

you mean hopefully wont happen, its happened before, many times before. Anyone remember the infamous "you are an idiot" flash animation that used to be so popular when html posts used to be used in forums alot? It was basically a load of smiley faces on a flashing background and the looping sound of a group of people singing "you are an idiot"

JK, good idea though, not having to open up another tab to view the videos.

One of the main reasons why i like the YouTube embed, is because my school blocked out YouTube, and rather than going through the difficult process of proxies and allowed site settings and so on, i can simply watch an embedded video :D
