Well I believe now that the PHPB33 or whatever it is comes out for SRF a Sarcasm button should be added.

Many people sometimes can't tell if someone is being sarcastic or not, I myself sometimes have trouble with it and people sometimes have trouble seeing if I'm being sarcastic or not. Even if I am I play along anyways.

In conclusion

[sar]sarcasm button needed![/sar]

I disagree, someone mentioned that you can just hide behind your sarcasm to express your bias or discriminatory opinions.

I agree with the guy above me. ^ There is a place for sarcasm, and if it truly is sarcasm it would be noticeable. Some people just hide behind it but most of the times its really obvious.

I personally don't think we'll need the sarcasm tag.

First you should be making sure your sarcastic comments aren't insulting anybody, that is, not too over the line. It also makes a difference if you're making a sarcastic comment to a completely random person or your friends.

If somebody couldn't tell you were being sarcastic and starts flaming your or something as a result, its probably not their fault for not getting it, its probably you who made it too far.

That being said, sarcasm is fun when there's no obvious pointer to it. If I have to put it in a box, I might as well just not say it.

Hmm I knew someone would say that... But I've been repeating this over and over again about this sarcasm button...Just ask Barotix, he's told me about 3 times to make a thread here..

For the record I tend to be sarcastic most of the time and if anyone doesn't catch on I play along with it..

indeed i did and redneck is a really sarcastic guy. sometimes people can't tell I'm just messing around so I throw a few ">.>" around and hope for the best, but i think [sar][/sar] would help [^_^]Y. especially new people to the forums, they always get so angry when people act sarcastic or joke around [like they take it seriously >.< ] some go ballistic, but i get where you guys are coming from about the masking stuff with sarcasm.

having a sarcastic tag would be encouraging people to be snotty and sarcastic and say mean things but get to hide behind it and get away with it. thats farked up

i want a funny button so people can actually tell when i'm trying to be funny...
