Both things gets you flamed, what's the right thing to do?

I prefer making a new topic.

well it depends on when the last topic on it was made.

see, some people res a topic thats over 2 months old, and usually they res
it with a shit useless comment. in that way, the topic will be locked.

if you res for example a topic on a game, which has last been posted in about
1 or 2 weeks earlier, and for example ask a question about the graphics of the
game, its allright to res one.

there is like, a difference between the two. the first option will result in flames
or a lock, the second option will end up in someone answering the question and
bringing the topic back alive.

As Cin said, It really does depend on the relevance and quality of the post that reses the topic. If its someone just commenting on a discussion which ended like months ago, then no point. However, if the person is adding new, important or usefull information. Or is ressing about something which happend but is happening again.

I.e the "Im a Little Wet" topic which i resed in OTL. Then its ok.

Res button would make it much easier, lol
