I remember the good days of the chatroom...

What the hell happened to it? Once a week there would be an inspection and all the SRF'ers would just rush into the chatroom. Then we chatted for hours until the inspection was over... Haha now i cant even enter the chatroom. Broken link?

The lag in there was horrible though... You type something and it took 5 minutes to come up..

Hahaha yeah, i remember Chat prior to my Mod days.
Well, we had to take it down because that was an incredible Bandwith consumer. I mean, you've all seen Godzila right?
Well, imagine Chat as Godzila, and the Bandwith as that HUGE pile of fish that the Army uses to bait Godzila out.
We have spoken about bringing it back, or having another sort of chat system. I mean, it was a lot of fun, and a lot of people did enjoy it.
Now, before you suggest it. IRC has been talked about before, and it has it's advantages and disadvantages and so on. We used to have an IRC channel, but then due to some user's actions. It had to be taken down.

No one suggested that before XD, I believe DJ made one a while back but its not there anymore or something, just go on vent.
