How to stop Spam Bots?

Well I have the answer 
I am a member of another forum for a different game and only a few months ago we took a step towards stopping spam bots.
Spam bots fill in anything even if there is a beg red box saying:
And since this update to the forum we have had no spam from spam bots for a very, very long time
So what do you think

Spam bots fill in anything even if there is a beg red box saying:
IMPORTANT: leave the Profile Information blank!
Do not fill in any of the following Profile Information fields, else it will cause the registration process to fail. This is for security purposes; it prevents automatic sign-up robots (spambots) from registering, because they always fill in some of the fields.
Note: you can still provide Profile Information after your account has been created.
