Sig size restriction

hey ryoko is there a size restriction on sigs? cuz there are some that ar ejust way too big ... almost twice as tall as the site's banner

yup on a froum very similar to this one sig had to be removed due to the size of some soo a size perimeter would be handy here

There is no automated feature to restrict sigs like the avatars have.

So it has to be a 'moderated' thing.

When I see sigs that are off the chart, I do say something. So do other users. That seems to work well.

I dont like to 'pick' on people about things like sigs, unless its bothersome.

But most sigs 500-600 wide don't bother me much, because of my screen size.

I just dont like the ones that stretch out the forum and I cant reach the buttons.

This happens more in IE - it adds a 2" margin and I don't know why yet. FireFox doesnt do that.
