So lately my firefox has been blocking popups on this forum. Anyone else have this lately? Ryoko? This hasn't happened to me ever on the forum. It isnt a big deal...just wandering what's going on.

This forum has pop-ups?

I've never blocked (or failed to block) a popup from this site. What browser are you using and what browser does the popup appear in? If you're not using IE and the popup opens in IE, you have a really annoying form of spyware on your computer. I assume you've already run Spybot and Ad-Aware scans, and if I recall correctly they don't remove the one I'm thinking of.

Im using firefox. Yes I regularly run Spybot. It's just recently my firefox has been blocking popups on this site. I didnt think there were any here either.

Oh right, you mentioned they were blocked. Silly me. Well, if it's really annoying, I recommend trying Flashpeak Slimbrowser as I've found it blocks more popups and more spyware than Mozilla Firefox.

No no no...I am saying they are being blocked. But there used to not be any popup blocks at all. They just started on this site for me. Maybe I should just run spybot again and try.

I get that they're being blocked, but nobody else seems to get them from this site so it's almost certainly spyware, and Slimbrowser = the Black Knight where spyware is concerned.

There are no popups integrated into my site.

Should I add a banner or two, they wont be popups or flash either. I hate them.

I did notice!

Some people have sigs from those gamer websites that record how much you play each week, and my browser blocks those.

He might be talking about the popup you get from when you receive a private message. I don't get that one either, only reason I know about it is because when I check the forums from school it comes up.

Stallowned is right. It is the popup you get when PMed. That explains why I only got it sometimes.
