To my understanding a BOT is a third party program that plays your character for you. The BOT character steals someone's kill and gets the glory. This is CHEATING! Yet, if you kill this BOT you get marked as a murderer. I think this is wrong!

I thought that Silkroad was a family game!!! To me this is teaching our young players to cheat! The BOT gets away with stealing your kill and if you kill him for it you are the one that gets punished (i.e. lose ex points and whatever the BOT steals).

So this is sending a message to our young players that it's OK to cheat and steal and no one will punish you for it. Is this what we as adults want to promote on a family game?

I think the programmers should put a patch in the let's you kill Botters and you get a reward (ex points/ gold, etc.) for getting rid of a cheater. There has to be a way the program can identify a Botter and mark them.

If this were done, I think there would be a LOT LESS BOTTERS/CHEATERS!

if someone is using a BOT ,, the game recognize him as a real preson playing the game ,, so if you kill him you will get punished ,,

If the Game can recognize those BOTs Charactres he wont be running infront of you ,, cause his\her acc will be blocked (20 years or something -as i heard-)

lol .. The game is fighting that bot thing ,, if they found a player that uses BOT ,, they wont mark him and let him continue playing they will block him

yes!!! i thinkt sro is a a family game as well!!!! now... i wont let my sons play sro , there so much violence with all those bots.... HAHAHA!!!

Yea... If there were a patch to identify botters, then there would be no botters.
There will always be bots. The problem will never go away. The most that JM could do is slow the bots down.

Despite the large amount of posts about bots i've read, i haven't seen one like this... i mean "family concern" oriented.

The problem is that, for the game, they are as valid players as you and any of us, so there's no way they could reward you.

I've been KS'd ten times more from actual players than I have been by bots. Tough fact but its true. I see bots come towards me, then I start attacking and they stop dead and turn around.

If they could make something that can identify bots, then all our problem were resolved PERIOD.
