I hate these kind of guys.. They're most likely hackers or doing something illegal.. i'm sure they're not grinding everyone alone..

*edit* their site is pretty much recent.. and no way they helped thousands of people like they said in the 4 days from 12/5 since it was up to 12/9 when silkroad was down..

plus their links most of them are dead..

and who would trust giving your account to them..
on top of it.. if it was a scam.. you lose money and game items or etc..

it's also 401 Error is in Chinese... and my chinese girlfriend told me not to trust Chinese businessmen.. they are all scam artists...

if you get hacked.. who can you tell.. you'd be laughed at for being an idiot.

That's why i don't really have too much sympathy for the hacked victims because they tried to do something like this or use a bot ...
next time learn your lesson. don't be lazy.. do it yourself.

wow phunky is right.. i do come off like a nazi

*hey dan.. ban that dude too.. why keep him registered? one time joiner i bet.

I keep him registered because that keeps his email banned.

If he wants to post again, he'll need new IP and email adress.

Makes it harder.

We had an advertising spammer earlier in each forum.

Is IP banning wise? Forums only show people's proxy IP that they connect to the internet through rather than their secret unique static IP, so by banning someone by IP you ban everyone else in his/hers area too if their on the same ISP that is.

Plus if their on dial up their IP will change everytime anyway :(

At least with email bans, not many people will bother reregistering everytime just to get a new user account.

Don't have a choice.

You put in a fake email and it worked. Remember?

Dialup? Unlikely. Hes from a big power leveling site.

Yeah true, but on the other hand it's just as easy to go here:

http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html

Get a new proxy and bypass the IP ban.

I don't suppose there is a sure way to keep people out, you just have to hope they get bored lol

I could be a dick about it, lock down all the guests, and require email validation.

Only if it becomes a big problem, it's not worth it for the odd one. But at the end of the day cleanliness on the forum is always a must, one of those extreme situations require extreme measures things. But really though it takes people less than two minutes to register, if they can't spare that then they can't want to be here enough lol

Is having a clean well done forum making you a dick though? If anything you'll get a lot more out of it and less poop to clean up too.

Mamba.

My hands are tied.

Email verification and notifications are offline due to a power higher than mine. The mother site has not moved yet. There are gigs of data. I had to ban his IP, account and email to detere further problems.

Promise. Once more posts, and once the server is complete, we will enable such things. We can even do the distorted image verification.

I am the only one on during my timezone that can deal with such things.

And I have a lot to do.

Thus, I enpower moderators. :D

Yeah sure thing captain, I'm just going from what I've experienced in the past on guest forums, at the minute it's okay but once it gets really popular it's probably something you can do without having.

It's not 100% idiot proof of course but it deters a good amount of the not so intelligent people who only go on forums to post rubbish and wind other people up.

Now now, let us not offend any users who are Chinese.
