Re: Warning levels?
According to the logs, the warning has been handed out on Saturday, October 1st, 2011, because you were replying to a spambot.
When giving out warnings, the staff can choose whether or not to notify the user that they are receiving a warning.
This is for the moderator to decide.
In theory, you can get countless of warnings. There's just the amount of warnings, not necessarily a sort of exp bar which you can fill out to reach the next warning level.
Warnings do not last forever, they will disappear over time. However, it will still be mentioned in your record, as well as in the manual logs in the Moderation Forum.
There's not a specific limit of warnings one can get before getting banned permanently. It depends on the time, like a user who has received multiple warnings in a short period of time, and how severe their actions were.
Sometimes, we choose to warn someone in a reply or by editing the offending post, rather than an official warning. Depending on how badly the line is crossed, we might skip the whole warning system and temporarily ban someone.
A single warning for replying to a spambot isn't really a big deal. It's just a warning, "don't do this again.".
If it stays at that, there's not a problem at all, and you shouldn't be too worried about it.

Re: Warning levels?
That's because the spambot thread was deleted.

Just open your profile and it will be just under your number of posts stuff.
But if you don't already have a warning level it won't show up, don't waste your effort searching for it
@Sm_Count : Well i knew that the thread was deleted, was just wondering which thread was it.
The only one that comes to my mind is of some spam bot in chinese and someone asked what it means;
so um. i used the help of google translate to answer him.

Re: Warning levels?
I don't remember, I close 2-3 spambot threads a day every day and I give warnings to everyone who replies. It's not a huge problem in site discussion, but in GD there's no reason to keep bumping a spambot thread and giving it attention. If someone else is replying it doesn't make it ok to keep bumping the thread to the top.
