I know a lot of people post Links to external Sites on here, So I think we should have something like the following.
1. Open in new tab.
2. Gives you a warning about linking to an external site.

Well I much rather have the one that just open in a new tab. Cause it's one less annoyance.

Externally links, typically should open in a new tab.
I see that they don't.
I'll check the board settings. We shouldnt have to custom code anything or change the PHP to have external links open in a new window (or, tab)

I've never even thought of the new tab thing. If I want a link to open in a new tab, I just click it with my mouse wheel instead of left clicking on it. It opens the link in a new tab, but doesn't switch to the tab until I go there manually.

Right, but typically sites do that for you automatically. I find it odd SRF doesnt. Tho I too use the above method so I never payed much mind.

The middle wheel thing is such a habit for me, I'm often browsing SRF, open up some tabs in GD, some in OTL, some in the server forums, and others... Next thing I know, I have 20-30 tabs open that I have yet to actually read.

I've never noticed really either Cause I also use the Wheel Button. Not everyone does though. And it would annoy me personally to keep having to back track back to SRF after visiting the Links.

Don't know if there's any truth to it, but someone once said something about a group trying to make standards for forums, and the link opening in same window had something to do with those standards? If it is true, it's complete retardation, and the group should find new members that aren't idiots.
I checked that entire 10 page suggestions topic, and about the first dozen or so topics of Site Discussion for any topics with posts by me. Didn't find it, not going to search my entire post history for it though.
