IMO it would ruin the simplicity of the forums.

Or make custom ranks all together. Like when you go to profile it says Display Name: Elite Member .. which can be changed to Wongy or SG PICS or ya know .. your own title under your name instead of the standard ones we have.

well we have a lot of members and what ever markers we put up for custom ranks many will be able to get them and want them its not fair on them to give them us

but more ranks after elite members isnt soo bad thats just one change

Meh Wong .. what kind of hassle? I don't see how it would be negative? Theres 2 other forums I go to where you can give yourself a title... like 'Elite member' Nothing ever gone wrong .....

Maybe at like .. 4000+ posts you can customize it .. but seriously I don't see the 'hassle'.

Oh... guess we're thinking different things.

I'm on a forum atm that gives custom ranks to everyone, whether you have 0 count or 6k+, there's a little box in profile that allows you to do that. That way no one spams for the titles, and everyone can be named what they want. The only difficulties would be if this forum board supports this system (different board on the other forum) and keeping the titles clean I guess.

Suggestion: Job specific forums
Reason: The characters and skills forum is overloaded and cluttered thanks to Europe's release.
Back in my FFXI days, I frequented job-specific forums on FFvault.
While the characters and skills section was enough for the freedom of chinese builds, Europe characters are very specialized. Specific class forums would greatly benefit character discussions and hopefully reduce the repeated topics (i.e. "What should I sub?")

we already have a sig wars topic, where there was a weekly competition on
making sigs with a certain team.. but there is always room for new ideas.
