Remove the quick reply please x.X

It makes me start at the bottom of a page because somehow it start with the cursor in the quick reply. So that means I have to scroll up at every farking topic >.<

You are correct. Its doing that to me too in longer threads. I'll see what I can do as a fix. I dont think QR will get "removed". Too many people pushed for it and wanted it.

[EDIT]

Its loading the editors javascript functions for the various buttons it uses. The first thing this function does is focus() the text area. This is near imperative on the normal reply page, but a huge nuisance for the quick reply. I'll work on it tomorrow. I tired.

Ok thanks Ryoko ^^ I can live with it but if it got fixed that would be great. I mean it's not that big of a problem in a thread with few reply's but if you got a really long topic it's annoying.

I don't have anything constructive to add to this thread, I just want to test out QR.

XMoshe , I think I fixed it by checking the URL and only using focus() if its not viewing a topic. Try it out.

Could you add an option to hide the quick reply box?
I'm not a fan =/

I could possibly add a custom profile field thats a radio button for it.

I see you have a Chat1 and Chat 2 custom profile field.

(Does that do anything? Does SRF chat even work? Doesnt load for me.)

O.O

I dont know if it fully works or not. Might be my machine. But this comp is new within the year and had all its shots. If the chat worked consistantly, why dont more use it?

And I still don't know if custom profile fields chat1 and chat2 are required.

Alright. Seems the other two fields are to ban users from chat. Bwa ha ha ha.

I have added custom profile field "Quick Reply" and it should be checked by default (please confirm.) You can uncheck this now, but it won't do anything until I am at home later.

Well that might be because, when chat was first initialized it was a massive massive SQL query burden on the server, and taken down. It might have been down so long, its long forgotten and even though it does work now, people think nothing of it.

IE, if you don't know...

One of those deals:

It works good, when it works. Currently working. Its a little difficult to set up. My account won't go through. But it seems we are tied to the same server as the other sites. SO you can channel hop to the others as well.

Perhaps another topic for site discussion.

Chat was fun for like an hour, and thats when knobhead started name abusing and talking about anal rape. .. Yes I know.

So.

It would probably only be fail-safe if you could hook up a SRF profile to it.

As said, it was my understanding it works off forum profiles now, and you must have a profile to use it. (see also, thread in off topic lounge)
