Character limit.

Post by Tasdik »

Why is there a 300 character limit for signatures? Seems a bit silly considering that a 300 character signature quote or something is in fact much smaller then most of the people's sigs around here. Take squirts sig for example.

And I mean really, most good, powerful, quotes will have over 300 characters. And while we could "dumb" the qoute down a little bit by using smaller words so that we'd fit under the limit. The quote in and of it's self would lose some of it's original, powerfulness.

So yeah, I say we remove or at the very least increase the character limit for sigs. To like 400 or even 500. If a few people start getting carried away with uber long sigs you can always shoot them a pm telling them to make their sig smaller. I doubt you'll ever really need to do that. But yeah.

I am sort of agreeing with wong here - I guess a sig sorta gives you an identity (Like, so someone could see YOUR sig and know it was you), so they don't need to be a billion words long. But at the same time, I don't see a problem with increasing it.

I dont recognize a member by the signature, but by the avatar, if I dont seen/remember it I move my eyes 1cm up and there's the name.
