Crysis question

I'm going to buy a new pc, and i was wondering if i could play crysis?

No doubt. Probably everything on high too with quadcore and 1gig vid >.>

But run a test here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest after you got your pc and you will see how well it can run on your pc.

yeh but take this tip, on the second level (the war zone on the beach) turn down everything to medium and put water detail to low, i can run everything in high except that level apprently im not the only one its a bugged level

hmm i was fine with that one, although my carrier lvl was quite buggy.

it was the only level i had to lower my settings i dont know why was really buggy, i played the whole last level on the carrier in the highest settings it would allow cus damn them aliens look awesome

for me the carrier lvl crashed A LOT, whereas all the other lvls went smoothly on highest settings :/

Are there really people that enjoy Crysis / FarCry for the game?

A lot of people only talk about crysis/farcry for the graphics and the game/story really isn't all that good. Farcry was loads better than Crysis and farcry still wasn't good.

It's like you buy a PC and you test it with Crysis, Crysis runs -> PC is good.
Other than that, I really don't know why people play Crysis. Multiplayer is just shit as well.

When we reach the point where graphics will be 'real life'- like (which is in what.. 5-10 years?) games like Crysis will fail.

Anyways, I suggest you download Crysis and don't waste money on it.

I got crysis today. Didn't have time to get far in it but the graphics are amazing. I'm doing medium-high @ 1680x1050, but I get fps slow downs in some spots. I love how the island is a giant jungle, and every plant you walk past has its branches shake in like real life, and make noise.

Downloaded the demo today. Not expecting too much, as I didn't think my laptop would even be able to start it.
But it played it fine on Medium at 1024x768.

crysis online is fun what fails about it?

ok the story aint great but the gameplay is.

i think your giving crysis a unfair judging

reminded me of far cry too much, already uninstalled. They should have made it with some urban environments.
