i got the limited edition version (one with metal case) for £10 about a month after it was released :O

Anywho, when i first played it i got bored of it. There was too much running around. I started playing it again recently because i never really got that far into it. I still havnt got as far as i got before yet though and its already starting to bore me again :|

Try a higher difficulty or Oblivion Lost.

There's no time for boredom when you're being raped in total darkness by like 10 mutants.

Great game :)

I think I finished it on all different endings, back when it came out.

Don't have the game anymore now :(

But thats also one of this things that made me bored. When you first get to the garbage area you have to help some stalkers in the car scrapyard thingy. So after i helped them i was wandering around trying to find all the bodys for items and item cache locations but every few minutes another big group of bandits would appear. It was so boring, they wernt hard to kill, they were just wasting my ammo and killing all the stalkers. It also seems those stalkers cant see as far as the bandits can and just sit there being shot until one comes into range.

I wasted 7 medkits on one of the stalkers before he eventually died on me. After every group that would come i would check the new bodys but by the time im done another group would be on the horizon shooting at me, so eventually i just decided to run afer killing a group of them.

Thats pretty much as far as i have got on this playthrough so far. Last time i got to the duty-town-oupost-place and went into the arena a few times and did a load of missions for the barkeep before i quit.

So, ive never actually been right into the zone in this game. I might have another go later.

well. After starting again i got as far as pripyat. Then i decided to give oblivion lost a go. All the saves became corrupted but i guessed they would work again if i re-installed a clean copy so i left them there.

Later i noticed my newest save before the autosave and quicksave (which had been overwriten by saves on oblivion lost) was outside the freedom headquaters god knows how many hours before i got into pripyat :(

Since then i havnt really had the enthusiasm to play so i havnt really checked out oblivion lost properly yet. All i did on it was stand around in cordon waiting for the first blowout to see what it was like.
