I don't know about anyone else, but I REALLY want to play UT99 again, and I'd love to play with some friends. Problem is I can't get any of my real life friends to play, so I was hoping I could get closer to some Forum m8s. What I'd LOVE to do is set up a day where we can meet on a EST server, so our pings will all be about equal (knowing the majority of players are US/Euro), and just have a frag fest. Give me your thoughts!

Yeah I was Assault man myself, but I loved CTF/DM too. Come on, lets get a few more, I know at least Crumpets wants to if he ever stumbles upon this thread...

Shame the iCTF community got a bit bot infested in the end.

UT99 sucked imo. UT2004 tournament is where its at. TONS OF NEW VEHICLES BEING CREATED. its like the best fps i play right now. i like instagib capture the flag and assault.

The new vehicles and the huge maps totally ruined the game. It used to be up close and personal, now you'd be happy to see anyone not in a vehicle, in 15 mins, to do some nice batteling.

Assault in UT99 is not reproducable... it was amazing... too amazing for words...

What made the game that good, is that you actually had to work your ass off for every kill. The game was so fast. it was amazing. Especially with Instagib, my god, you'd be dead in seconds. You had to lear how to dodge, jump, double tap strafe etc, most amazing online experience ever.

Are you talking original Unreal Tournament? I still have about a thousand maps and a 6 gig install directory.
