Which game do you think is better? I think its Halo 3 but not everybody. Sure, the graphics are good in CoD4 but the game itself is not better than Halo 3. I mean what in CoD4 can beat camoflouge or the rocket launcher? the sucky RPG7 that cant even go straight after 2 sec? The answer is no.

Halo 3, eventhough 1 and 2 we're better, i didn't finish cod4, and did finish the halo series.

A matter of like/dislike.

I don't like future based shooters. I prefer 2nd World War shooters, but some modern shooters are also nice, like CoD4.

Halo is too futuristic. Hate plasma weapons.

I don't like 1st person shooters and wrong section...

I've played the Halo series since Halo:CE.

I've watched the gameplay and the in game logistics fall with every game.

Halo 1 was perfect.
Halo 2 had some flaws.
Halo 3 is garbage.

They nerfed the only good weapon, the BR, and as a competitive player, that is crucial to a good game.

CoD4 is a nice easy game anyone can pick up and learn how to play quickly. The graphics are great and the gameplay even better. Along with a story that is easily replayable because it's so friggen fun I'd have to say CoD4 > Halo 3 - although that's my biased opinion having never played Halo 3 .

You gave the reason why we shouldn't compare them. It's Sci-Fi against Modern warfare. You should compare like CoD with MoH or w/ ever.

OT: I do like Halo3, but that's a matter of taste...I surely enjoyed CoD4.

Halo 3 needs more maps, and more MP content besides shiny ranks and woo hoo armor customization. Half the time I played Halo 3 online was in like CTF on the updated Blood Gulch map or VIP on the desert looking map. That's it.

CoD 4 has plenty of variety.

CoD4, i like realism sorry, and halo 3 i thought had a horrible story and was too short, online is ok but most of the maps they release now are just copies of other maps but they change a colour or move something somewhere else, CoD4 online was a little cheap i don't like those helicopters that come and shoot you when the other guy kills you.

halo 3. even though is was just the multiplayer lvls were pretty much the exact same lvls from halo 2, its still really fun

I haven't even played Call of Duty 4 but I'll vote for it. I thought Halo 3 was the most half assed game ever. It felt like they just cranked it out for the profits. The story line wasn't very satisfying, the cut scenes were lacking of good acting. The only thing it had going for it was the random humor, I did crack a smile occasionally.

COD4 because in Halo 3 the beat down system is so off. The person could be in one hit (where your health bar is flashing red if you didn't know) and then you beat them down and they don't die and then they beat you down and you die. Where as in COD4 if you knife someone their dead no questions asked. Also I love being able to choose which weapon and perks you wont where in Halo 3 you get a setup defined by the game-type you are playing.

alright i got pwned in votes but u got to say that the multiplayer is good in halo 3 (i think its better though) plus Halo 3 is sometimes funny like that dude that gets locked out and he doesnt know the password. that was funny.

Alright lets put all the good stuff about Halo 3.

I like the guns, the settings, the enemies, mp is fun..But same goes for CoD4, although in split screen multiplayer you can see eachother on the map. Dunno if that's the same for online, but it's pretty lame lol.

Alright lets put all the good stuff about Halo 3.

The community? No.
The maps? Nope.
The weapons? Rofl good one. No.
The....graphics? Overly textured everything, no.
Forge? Eh, weird controls and not much editing options kill it.
Theater? Alright, always fun to show off to your friend how you took his face off with a nice snipe.
Multi player? See...the first 4 things in this list.
Single player? Story was good for 1 run through, and many times playing the last level and the Warthog / Mongoose finish.
What else is there....?

Nothing.

All it really has going for it is the theater, which is fun.

Competitively, it pales in comparison to the other two Halo games.

COD4 easy, in halo 3 its just so luck based, in cod4 there is a element of skill and response whereas in halo 3 the weapons dont respond aswell and no skill, its just so

Halo 3= teenagers who just want to shoot something and has this sci-fi feel to the game which is sort of stupid

Cod 4 = a game for people who want to experience a modern war but with out teh whole emotional part of seeing people die/losing a loved one.


Even though i am not a fan of FPS games i will have to say i would go with COD4

Halo lost it's greatness when I first loaded Halo 2. Innovation and creativity is a finite wave, a console generation later, the same formula won't have the same impact that it once did. So, when it comes down to it, COD4 is a better game. Better graphics, better game play, better game.

I can't stand slow FPSs, they have to be fast paced and lots of projectile weapons... I miss UT RIP #1 Assault clan in the world.
