Just wondering if any1 here plays COD4 on the pc and if maybe we could play some time.

I just reformated a couple days ago, downloading it from steam now. takes like 5 hours @ 850 kb/s

my profile just vanished. Couldn't care less though, what a shit game.

Sprint + flash + instagib knife + whole lot of other shit aspects.

Doesn't have the Call of Duty feel to it any more, I only play CoD1.
I think health restoring is retarded, takes away the aspect of rushnades, smoke grenades are just.. lol.
Automatic snipers, every side has the same weapons, customizing weapons.. working for 'better' gear.. THIS IS A SHOOTER!!!

The game is so noob-friendly it just makes me want to rip my head off when I play it. If you're any good in shooters you don't die because of 1v1, you die because of retard nades and backstabbing and other unlucky skills.

In CoD4 however, any ****** with an M60 can just spray away and go "Oh LOL!! headshot!! didn't even see him!! LOOOLLLL!!"

Of course it's just pubbing, but don't get me started on how lame S&D wars in CoD4 are ;\

Myself and 3 friends scrimmed against a team that was good in their pub. Once they got into a S&D match with pam4 on they were useless (Final score 20-5 for us). Remove grenades, grenade launchers, and all of the perks that make pubs really dumb and I realised what IW intended with this game. Once you get 4 pub stars in a CAL mode scrim they are brutal. I suggest getting a CAL O team together and play the game the way it should be before you say it sucks.

I think it's a lot more skill based. The better you get the more you realize it. Considering nades are a 1 hit kill, even with full health, smokes are actually useful and completely blank the screen (compared to css), no serious snipers use anything other than the m4a03 (bolt action), and in "pcws" virtually all unlockable perks are disabled + weapons are limited and unlocked for everyone; you either played a different game, you're bad, or you're going off minimal experience with the game.

On a side note, i've been played a lot lately. I just reformated a couple days ago and it's the only good game I have installed.

Theres alot more skill value in scrims than most of you seem to realise. Verse some of the top competitive teams and you'll see that this game can be taken to a whole new level from PUB crap.

Winning PUB servers is no challenge. Winning SnD Competitive ladders takes skill and knowledge throughout your entire team.

I look like I'm a pubhero or something, I'm not.

I have played Call of Duty 1 for over 2000 hours, I know how to play and I've been ranked top10 on clanbase 5v5 S&D europe ladder.

CoD4 is just a totally new game, it doesn't build on the call of duty feeling any more, and for a CoD1 lover it's hard to accept that.
I'd say it's a new Counter Strike rather than a new Call of Duty.

I'm just really disappointed since I missed out on CoD2 which was a good follow up due to a crap PC and now I have good PC and was ready for CoD4 and it turned out to be this pile of shit

It would. I just quit CSS and i'm looking to get more serious about COD4.

I played it for a while...unlocked everything on offical...played moddded servers like zombies/snipers only/custom maps....pubing gets pretty boring after a while..
