well i guess i could recommend Chrono trigger like i always do or until there is something that is better then it that could take it's place but then again that will never be "new" 16-bit games ever made again. Or portal(first 11 levels are free on steam)

Prince of Persia, all of them (The Sands of Times, The Two Thrones and some other, forgot the name)
Farking brilliant RPG with a lot of action. Mind you, it has puzzling in it as well so it's not only walk cool and kill cool, you're actually gonna have to use your brains from time to time.

The Sands of Times is the first one and imo the best, but it has the most and the most difficult puzzles, though not too hard, but if you're not into that kind of shit go for one of the newer ones.

Half Life 2, I guess you don't want to play Half Life 1 with the terrible graphics it has so go for HL2.

Assassin's Creed, currently playing myself. It starts out slow and I'm only playing it an hour a day or something but it's supposed to be very cool.

Most of the Call of Duty's have a good singe player, though I only played CoD1 SP which blew my head off at the time.

God so much games I'm forgetting, I used to play every single game offline cause I didn't have internet till I was like 13.

Elderscrolls oblivion, best single player game ever. I got the original game when it came out and even now when I play its still fun because of the huge modding community. Definitely worth the money, or the download time.

Battlezone 2. Starts of simple but soon gets really frustrating. FPS/RTS hybrid.

yeah the vanilla hack and slash
heres some must get mods:
get at tesnexus.com
DarNified immersion UI
Deadly reflex 3 (decapitation, cut in half etc adds flavour to combat)
OBSE (overhaul of the games, makes it more real, no more slashing endlessly but u need skill)
Ragdoll physics fix (overhauls physic engine)
Crowded roads (adds ppl 2 the roads)
Crowded cities (adds ppl 2 the cities)
Travellers of tamriel (more population, really really makes game different)
Psychic guards (no psychic guards)
toaster Group share/recruit (allows recruiting npcs, u can make armies if u have the population mods, makes the game almost MMO like)
*another travellers which i forgot name of just get all the population mods their small anyways*
Midas magic spells (adds loads of unique spells, adds useable catapults/flying carpets/transformers etc)

If you've got the computer get the natural weather mods, Qarl's texture pack
get MMM etc and the monster overhauls if you want, but I dont use them

Been trying to play it but I cant, it just reboots my computer every time I start moving.

Im in some weird place with some guy talking to me, theres like 6 women with no faces around me and as soon as I start to move the computer reboots.

If I dont move at all I get like teleported to another area. Still cant move.

Try to pass every Final fantasy game :).

Some FF never made it to america as i read in a article once. in china FF 4 ( i think it was 4) was being released and america was behind so they just named part 4 part 2 in america :). FF is not the only game to have this problem :).

Tried Neverwinter Nights? I've only played the first one and i liked the story, too bad i didn't finish it =/ Silkroad was to tempting to give me the time ^^ Anyway, the second has gotten some real good criticism too. :)
