just have a quick question that i wasn't able to find on google

if i have halo custom edition (yes, custom edition not combat evolved), will i still be able to play with those who don't have it(iow: with those who just have the original game)

Having a special edition wont affect the online gameplay AFAIK. Maybe it gives you a special suit or something in the singleplayer. I'm not sure tho since I have no clue about what version you're talking about ^_^

No you won't be able to play with those who play the normal edition.

You won't miss it. You have all the normal Halo 1 maps...plus a wide variety of custom maps. Including HUGEASS(recommend), Halo 2 and 3 maps and much more.

Bleh, the Longswords in HUGEASS are still a very reliable source of lols. Specially if you fly them to the top of a base and start firing nukes.(They won't hurt you).

Hugeass and Coldsnap were overrated. Have a look at Yoyorast Island, Chronopolis, and anything by Mothergoat. Also, I think I saved those elusive HSE binaries if anyone wants to play around with them.

i always love going in and tactically taking out an entire group of elites on legendary with some long distance sticks or taking out wraiths with rocket sniping.
and the original pistol is still my favorite gun out of the entire series.

Omg. It's been so freaking long since I played Custom Edition. I remember the hype around some leaked Halo 2 maps which someone recreated orso. That was just sooo cool. I also tried to get into it, but never could. 3DS max is hard

Yeah, or like when your in the same room as them, and you can hear them but they are not in the radar until you later find out that they are on top of you.

I have. Yoyorast was a pretty fun map, and so was Chronopolis. I specially like taking the swordie and going through the tunnels in Chron. .

Hogwars, the megaman map, that other map where there is a plasma rifle that shoots nukes(special way to get it), and all the 'story' maps(where there would be AIs that you had to kill with a group) were also pretty fun. ^.^
