Well they're designed to let you try out the game... albeit, they ARE a tad restricted...

You have to download in this order:

1. World of Warcraft http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/files/pc/wowclient-downloader.exe

2. A 700 MB Patch to get to version 2.3.0 for WoW (WoW will auto download this patch after logging in with your "trial" account)

private servers are a lot different than retail wow. bugs, lag, some skills don't even exist in private servers that are in retail. you should use the 10day trial if you really want to test the game out before buying.

I started off on a private server and it was not even close as fun as real wow. Way too many bugs srsly.

The try the real thing. Playing on private servers = not WoW. Theyre all enhanced, stupid, idiotic, and contain things that arent supposed to be there. Wanna know what it's like? us the 10 day trial.

meh i like good graphical games

it's tempting to play because of its nice gameplay and minigames other than grinding except it's like playing a cartoon

I've noticed the screenshots ppl have posted here look way different that the actual thing. IMO wow has smoother graphics than sro, just not all shiny and flashy, but a lot more stable.

Question people, I got the disc's, but no active account anymore. So when I go to install Burning Crusade it asks me to upgrade. I can't upgrade so when I join a private server, will I be able to play on BC still?

You shouldn't have to have a BC account to download the BC installer.

Try DLing the trial version of BC

It says Something about having to upgrade though. Will I be restricted on the trial version if I dl and use it? Cause that's like 48 hours of dling. And that's time I don't want to waste cause if slows my net down way too much. For some reason when I installed it the first time though, I pressed skip on the upgrade, then It gave me the error that wowscape said meant I patched too far ahead.
