Short important list out of the rules:

* Create only one (1) account on alpha server! More accounts = banned by Ikariam.
* Try to use as little as PC's (IP's) possible to avoid being accused of account sharing, which is illegal as well! Ikariam may ban for it whenever they like.
* You can only attack (pillage) someone up to six (6) times a day! Anything over 6 is called bashing, which is illegal as well.

As some of us already have experienced, Ikariam does not hesitate to ban players without excuse. We say, better avoid than cure.

Has anyone played it?

Ikariam is a free, browser game which means that no download is required. You pretty much start out with you own little town in an island and the point of the game is simply to build up your empire.

There are many features in the game like colonizing other areas of your own island or of different islands (besides your main capital city), declaring war on other players and invading them, blockading off their harbors, trading with other players through ships and forming and joining alliances and much MUCH more.

This isn't an rts game but it has some similar characteristics. Imo, this game is pretty fun (started a couple of days ago) for times when you have extra time on your hands.

I have an account on the Alpha server, my username is Morgoth, and my island coordinates are (76, 9)(you'll know what im taking about once you play) and my town name is Atlantis. I hope we can play together sometime.

ok nvm , i found how to get the wood, just go outside to the island and u see wood stocks..

getting wood is a pain in the ass.

hehe i remember i had millions of gold and 3 villages mining marble (most expensive resource) wood is cheap to buy and collect once you get your island woodcamp higher lvls

main problem is being online everyday to buy wine for my brewery and glass for researching

So what exactly do I need to do first?

I've got my whole town collecting wood. xP
