I was playing it all the time during my internship. Clicker heroes at work, Cookie Clicker at home.
Clicker heroes wasn't as fun though. Feels like it relies too much on instant gratification mechanics.
After that I finally sort of got sick of both and managed to quit.
recently checked my cookie clicker again, but my save was gone D; 2.5 years all for nothing T_T

You can look on youtube for people's saved files, load them, get your fix and move on with your life.
Cheers.

Oh yeah, Clicker Heroes. I remember playing that for quite some time a long time ago. I heard that it's on Steam now. I'd recommend you play it on there, as it automatically saves your progress.
I lost my browser-based save. Sadly. Haven't returned since.

Played Cookie clicker for a long time, then switched to clicker heroes playing it on both my pc and laptop (seperate saves) lol.. I quit both after quite some time. Recently tried to start clicker heroes again but I can't really enjoy it anymore.
I am however playing tap titans on my phone atm and so far its pretty fun with a slight competitive edge added to it.

Too laggy for my taste. Nice idea, bad execution.

Yea i have tap titans on my phone too. Kinda fun but i didn't even it for few weeks.
Love how you can simply go offline, increase date by a day then collect tons of coins.
Although once you go online you can't do it anymore till you
prestige. (Soft reset to stats)
I just can't play something like this on a laptop, i'll probably use a mouse autoclicker or something.

Yeah it's fun, collecting the premium currency is relatively eassy and it's nice there's a small competitive side to it (twice a week you can prestige and then have 24 hour to reach the highest stage you can, you're put in prestige ranges I assume so you compete against others for a ranking. Based on the ranking you get rewards).
If i'm entirely honest if you want to do those it gets pretty time consuming because I'm at a point where my tap dmg is higher than my DPS so to progress at a decent speed you pretty much have to tap.

Doesn't sound half bad. I've downloaded the game now.

Hit a wall tonight, got stuck at around 190 (max is 3500 btw, if I am to believe the rankings), took me a while but once I got enough for the next hero I suddenly skyrocketed to 265

How is it not a game?

I guess you're talking about idle clickers in general. They're quite enjoyable as you can just play them on and off.
