Leaving SRO

So, lets say I wanted to stop playing SRO, and pick a new MMO drug, which is the best option at this point?
I'm debating between GW2 and WoW. Though I think WoW might be more fun, so eh.
Thoughts?

Life is a pretty good MMO you should try it. Some bugs, graphics are awesome. Its expensive though...

I'd say try GW2 (Or wait for any of the soon-to-be release mmorpgs). WoW is old has hell with nothing special about it in my opinion. Other mmorpg's that came after it had the benefit of improving on the genre with better graphics, better features etc...
I am somewhat surprised that people still think of WoW in the face of so many modern choices...I guess it has to do with the reluctance to let go of what was popular in it's heyday....Kinda like our relationship with SRO....

This. Tasdik, you have to remember that you were born into it, molded by it! You cannot simply leave

gw2 can't be addictive, it's too casual to hardcore.
nothing is like silkroad, wait for the next big server to open, enjoy it while it lasts, repeat

I want to find an MMO to play as well, but I'm not big on the whole hardcore raiding shit. Also, not refusing, but extremely turned off by P2P.

I might try again, I think I stopped playing cause none of my friends played it. I liked FFXIV though.

You should play GW2! There is an NPC in one of the starter zones called Lempi. I'd like to think it was named after me, but I'm not that shallow and vain.
Or am I?

This. It's changed a lot to be very noob friendly and Blizzard has really sold out, but it's still arguably the best MMO out there.
If you decide to go to Rift, I still have my characters sitting around

I just got invited to TESO beta this weekend. It will determine the fate of my wallet.

I keep hearing about TESO (or more commonly, ESO) No idea what it is, but I might look into it.
In the mean time, been casually playing wow for the first time with my oldest brother. Level 41 atm. It's not bad. But I also don't see it consuming my life.
Which is probably a good thing, I guess. Ha.

Yeah I've preordered the base game, probs gonna buy a 3 month subscription after my free 1 month has ended. 4 months is usually how long I last in MMORPGs anyways sadly.

I feel like he could keep himself constantly busy with how the game releases new content every 2 weeks. I can barely keep up with it

I only played it for a few days. All I saw was a bunch of people ganking uniques in a cycle. Which was fun the first 3-4 cycles, but I quickly lost interest.
And yeah oxy, I did.

Yeah I don't care much for world uniques myself. Play through the storyline, get lv80 then decide if you want to go the Dungeon route (PvE) or WvW (PvP) or organized PvP.

GW2
I've tried Rift, FF14, and some other MMOs. They simply can't compare to what GW2's team has done with the game. The constant roll-out of new content every 2~4 weeks and addition of new mechanics to the game is reason enough.
The game appeals to both casual and hardcore players. Playing casually doesn't mean you'll lag behind or have a huge disadvantage against hardcore players but you'll simply take much longer to complete long term goals like crafting legendary weapons. Mine takes about 2~5 months to craft that single legendary but for others, it might only take them 4~6 weeks of hardcore playing.

Alright, gonna try out gw2 again.
Been hoping between WoW and Neverwinter. But they both fail to satisfy me.

Patching Rift right now. I'll be playing this in the meantime, before TESO comes out.
