just kidding, remember when srf voted one of the black ops game of the year? shameful. last of us was great, everything else on this list is pretty good to mediocre i'd say. not the best year for games?
That's kinda funny, the time has passed slower than I thought. I thought Infinite and Last Light were last year's games lol.
I would vote for Black Flag since I've always been an AC fan, but the latest entries in the series haven't been as exciting for me. Also I haven't played Black Flag much yet, but based on what I've seen, it's not really GOTY. The combat isn't that great and those damn ATTACK INDICATORS, STOP IT, I don't want the game to slow down time when I'm being attacked and show it with a stupid sign, it just breaks any flow that the combat may have and the slowmo also makes it feel unresponsive. It seemed they were making the combat slightly more difficult by having enemies attack you at the same time not by taking turns, but it actually feels easier than AC2 for example. They have improved on AC3 in some other parts though. The Naval is something fresh for a change and the character is better, but the thing is that this game doesn't seem to take the series any further though. Because they will probably not make the next AC with pirates or focus so much on the naval aspect. What I feel they should do is make a separate game for pirates/naval stuff, which is funny, since AC was born from Prince of Persia and now here they are able to create another franchise from AC.
Now I also played Tomb Raider, but I didn't really enjoy it as much as I could have. It was a lot about the character, but I don't really care about Lara in the first place. And it seems they tried to stuff as much content as they could into the game(GPS Caches, really? relics were kinda meh too). All those additional collectables and things were so pointless. Tombs were disappointing. I can say that I kinda enjoyed my time with it, but as to why, I have no idea. The game doesn't seem to have much going for it.
Played Bioshock Infinite aswell. A lot of it was great, great story(had to think for quite a while after the end about what actually happened), environment etc, but bad combat. And there was a lot of said bad combat.
And I haven't actually played anything else... except for GTA V which I have played at my friend's and seen a lot of videos of and based on that, it is actually my favourite and I would like to play it on PC(and have a decent PC for that). So vote to GTA V.
I wanted to have some voting to make the list but I didn't think we had enough time and people to make a full list so I just picked the most popular and best reviewed and most pleasing games from about 20 lists.

Yeah console release years tend to make that happen. I assume by this time next year we're going to have too many choices for best game.
That said, I voted GTA5. For as many things that were inherently wrong with Online early on, the story was amazing and I'd replay it many more times, and Rockstar finally sort of got their shit together with the Online.
GTA5 all the way with a side mention to HoTs (because it's only an expansion)

haven't played any of those yet, Assassins Creed is a disappointment after *spoiler * killing Desmond *spoiler* and just focusing on the animus part forgetting about outside world.
I agree with Ol3n, maybe I am just a massive fanboy, but Path of Exile is by far the best game of the year for me. Frankly it's in the top 5 games I've ever played, not only for the product but the amazing support and frequent updates GGG puts into the game.

If you're changing stuff, then you should probably enable changing the votes :/ People might want to reconsider.
