What do you guys think the current gen games (esp. PS3) are gonna drop in price to after the PS4 comes out (nov 11)?

Right now fifa 14 is selling at 50$ and Gta at 53$, I want to know if it's worth waiting the ~week before buying the game (esp. Since I'm really craving Fifa 14 ATM (>.<).

Am really hoping to buy some older PS3 games on the cheap too since there's no way I'm selling my ps3 (and probably not buying PS4 )

The consoles will definitely drop but the games will most likely continue to sell for 60$. I saw an as for Super Nintendo and N64 games from like 1996 and the games were selling for 60$ back then too so hopefully they will not rise in price.

I buy over half my games from craiglist, paying half what you would pay walmart ftw. Unless is already a goty edition and sells for 20-30 bucks then I stop being mega cheap ( about half the time ... ).

I am not buying a ps4 til I can start buying games for 30 bucks again.

What the others said, the prices wont drop at all. Especially since they will keep releasing games for ps3/x360 for a while to come. If you need them cheap(er), get secondhand games.

I wouldn't see any of it to drop. They'll still be relevant in 3 years to come until hardware sales of next gen becomes relevant then no games being developed for current gen then price drops.

How much of the ps3/xbox bases do you guys think will move on to next gen?
As in if I buy Fifa 14 or BF4 for PS3 right now would there still be a
Large amount of people playing online? Or similarly if I were to buy them for PS4 would there be a suffiecient community for online (esp. 64 player maps in bf4 ._.)

The last console transition I was too young amd didn't even have a console, so I don't remember anything. Considering making moves for new gen :o

There will be a decent amount of players on both. You will have no problem finding full lobbys. I expect more people will be on the PS3 for a while sense some people won't be getting a PS4 until Christmas or sometime next year.

i wouldn't expect decently popular online games like fifa to be desolate just because of next gen until 2+ years down the road. people didn't abandon original xbox that quick and it didn't even have that many good games and the xbox 360 wasn't like $500-600

as for gta they haven't even said anything about next-gen yet so that game is safe for a bit at least.

I almost want to hold off on buying the PS4 so I can keep playing GTAV a while longer. I know once I get BF4 that's is all I am going to play.

Decent amount of EU countries wont even be getting the XONE untill 2014 so there will be more than enough players on xbox live.

Him looks like I'll have to hope for deals on Black Friday, hoping to get Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite and Gta V :3
