This is a MOBA style game a friend of mine showed me a month or two back. I have been addicted ever since. I never understood the fun of LoL in the past, the constant leveling, buying items, farming creeps. But the twist in SMITE is that it's a 3rd person game, to me it feels a lot more interactive than the topdown view (from LoL for instance). Many of the friends of the guy who showed me the game played LoL, and most of them loved SMITE, often even more than LoL.

The games characters are Gods, literal Gods. You will play as Zeus, Poseidon, Neith, Isis, Thor, Loki. Probably a good 35 Gods so far ranging from Hindu to Norse and Egyptian to Chinese.

The game is still in beta so there are problems from time to time but my overall experience is that it plays pretty smoothly.

it has been in beta a while i believe, i remember back when it was making its name in the lol circles at the start of this year i think it was. cool game cool idea i just could never get into it, felt a lot less natural to me playing a moba without being able to shuffle all over the map and stay aware

Thats why you have the minimap =p you have vision from towers, creeps, friendly players, some skills from gods even. Or you just place wards, with one of the recent patches it has an auto ping as well so if someone runs into your wards vision it gets pinged.

Only played two games so far but it's pretty fun. I was actually wrecking shit with Ra. Too easy

Ra's ult is epic if you hit it. Tough to hit though if you have enemies that can duke ;p

Ra is my fave, with Neith and Artemis close behind.

Woo! I still play it daily with some friends. Shyed away from solo queing and only play when I got a party of 2 atleast.
