Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised. Source 2 is probably in it's final stages and you need something exciting to push out Steam machines.

Yah I'm figuring HL3 and Source 2 games will initially be SteamOS (maybe Linux) exclusive but will later be released on Windows/OSX/Consoles. Though I don't think they would want to cripple their potential sales that much so maybe the give something extra with SteamOS.

Depending on the distribution it's based on, I'll assume plenty versions of Linux. I also highly doubt it'll be exclusive, but to push it like Valve likes doing, I expect hats, special badge, and some other stupid shit by the time it comes out.
