Anyone interested in this game? I just recently found out about it and I might jump in if I ever get a beta invite. It has the standard contents of most MMO's coming out but I'm really digging the art direction and humor.
Although not original, player housing, warplots, and paths (professions?) look interesting.
Here's the official trailer:
Quick rundown on gameplay/content:
2 Factions (Exiles vs Dominions)
8 Races
6 Classes (Warrior, Esper...)
4 Paths (Explorer, Scientist...)
Action combat (GW2/TERA-like)
Dungeons
Raids
Battlegrounds
Player housing
Warplots (Guild housing?)
Whether it's P2P or F2P is still unknown.

I hope it turns out better than Dragon's Prophet. Even though it's only closed beta, the game is crap.

I think Warplots is Arenas. (3v3 5v5). But yes the game do look interesting. Gonna give it a try. I just dont like the dubble jumping etc. It just looks stupid imo.

The game doesn't look all too bad, actually. And yeah, the trailer was funny - no denying that

It is announced that Wild Star will be pay to play! Now it really makes me wonder if this game is just all hype or not.
Looks like all the AAA titles coming out are pay to play; TESO, FFXIV, Wild Star.
What's that other game that looks like Wild Star, I know one of them is an MMORPG and the other is like a shooter.
The game is P2P but you can pretty much play it for free with their CREDD system, depending on how the economy will fair, so it's up to the community on how much in-game currency it'll cost.
I really like it. It also competes against third party subscription sellers that most MMOs have nowadays. In the server I play in WoW, a one-month subscription currently goes for 10k gold, which is pretty easy to get in under a week of playing. EVE Online also uses the same system.

Finally got a beta key for this weekend. Anyone else who've been playing this in beta?

I also got a weekend key, I'm tempted to download it while I'm out tonight and try it during the weekend. However some friends and I recently joined another MMO and I'm not sure if I'm willing to spread it out too much.

Playing it now, it's very different, completely skill shot based.

Played the beta for a while. I will be sticking with my Korean grinders and GW2.
I saw nothing wrong with the game, just nothing that would make me want to quit my current MMOs for it.
It takes the generic MMO formula, and adds 10 layers of polish. If you like "traditional" MMOs, you're going to love Wildstar. It's unmatched in the traditional category.
I expect the game to do well in the West and have a solid playerbase.
