Canada Computers currently has it on sale for $139.99 I can trade in 2 games for a $60 gift card from Future Shop I can price match the PVR +10% of price difference with Future Shop ($169.99)
Isn't the HD PVR a little 'outdated' in the recording world? I thought the black magic or something is the newest/best in recording gameplays right now.
Then again the PVR does a great job if you just want something to record. And if you get all the needed cables and such for 95$ it does sound like quite a good deal. I'd probably pick one up for that.

It's essentially the same thing as BM:Intensity, the differences being Hauppauge has a HDMI passthrough, whereas BM has component to HDMI conversion (for Xbox of course, PS3's HDCP is pretty dumb). However, BM's model comes with a USB 3.0 port; so the only thing that worries me is that the Hauppauge will bottleneck itself with USB 2.0. The record button is a nice feature though, and yes it will blend
If anything, I can resell this on Kijiji and make a profit

Doesn't the BM record in 1080p max where the PVR is 720p max?

I got it yesterday, I'm just trying to find the best Vegas settings for it, but damn this fucking 1MB/S Canadian internet upload speed.
Edit: Here's the result
Rendered @ 30fps, 720p, 8MB bitrate, and it all came up to 47mb, but it still took a painful 10-20 minute upload to Youtube
