I just got a first generation PS3 slim 320GB.
I'm only going to be using this to play PS3 exclusive titles. I'll be playing everything else on PC/Xbox.
What do you guys suggest?
I'm probably going to get the Uncharted/Infamous/God of War/Ratchet & Clank series. I'm trading in 2 games for Ni No Kuni, and I'm not interested in MGS4, Killzone/Resistance, Valkyria Chronicles, or GT5 (Forza>GT )! I'm more interested in the JRPG ports (case and point; Ni No Kuni).

Also, can I download 1080P/Blueray quality movies on my computer and then transfer it to my PS3 via USB and have it play without any problems?
I don't have any games for it as of yet, and it's still in the box; so I'll post my PSN when I make it

It's not exclusive, but Dark souls is a really good game.

Heavy Rain and Journey.

The whole Uncharted series. The best series of any console IMO.

VERY good game. Sequel to the sequel coming out in the future too. Demon's Souls is alright as well but IMO it's not Dark Souls quality. The 'Prepare to Die' edition (more content) is available also on steam and you can use a ps3 controller or xbox or whatever if you prefer to use PC.

The Ninja Gaiden games are pretty fun and challenging.
I've personally never plaid it but Valkyria Chronicles is supposed to be a good RPG.
The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection are HD versions of some pretty fun games from the PS2 you can pick it/download it for $20

thats pretty much it, add killzone 3 for a fun multiplayer experience and you're good.

As long as your usb stick/external hd is formatted to FAT32 and not NTFS it will play all of the standard video formats.

@Miro 320GB PS3 slim that has been barely used for $100 and 2 games; I just couldn't resist

I've been seriously contemplating about hacking the PS3, but then I wouldn't be able to play online, let alone even GO on PSN

What are the benefits of hacking it? Cause, with my xbox360 I NEVER play online... if online means playing with someone else online, which I don't so I would 'hack' it.

You can "find" games on the internet and play them without buying the disc.

Hacking/modding your console allows you to play games without paying for them

For 360, you can 'stealth mod' so you don't get banned for playing your illegal games online.
For PS3, you will probably get insta-ban when you go online with your illegal games; though you used to be able to play online, but now you can't. Also, EMULATORS.

Think I'll hack my ps3 when I have some time, is not like I play online anyways.

Pretty good, a bit of a slow start, but after the first town, it starts to pick up. One thing I don't like though is that you can't see the monsters you're fighting health in numbers, just a red bar.
If they display your damage in numbers and even have numerical stats, they should've at least shown the enemy's health in numbers as well.

I have Uncharted 1 and 2, gonna get the Infamous collection in about 2 weeks. Still not planning on getting Resistance or Killzone, im trying to stay away from fps cause that shit just gets way too old to fast for me, and it kills me to play multilayer knowing that I'd do worlds better if I could use a mouse and keyboard.

Killzone 3 multiplayer is a bit like tf2, pretty fun. There is a trial for it if you want to check it out.
