But yeah, saw it on MMOsite a while back and thought it was interesting. Though there are a lot of those Ancient Chinese MMOs, I like that theme. Someone should make some real arcade game with a good story in that setting, not just MMOs.

True Martial-arts Community

- No classes: All in-game skills can be learnt.

- Game Balance: Based on skills instead of classes.

Schools - Shaolin
In Jianghu, Shaolin is called the "Heroic Spirit, for the state and people", whom are the leaders, judges, and protectors of morality. The fighting concept of the hardness in Kung Fu of the Shaolin is the leader among the external skills.

Origin
The Shaolin School started during the Beiwei Dynasty. It was a Temple located in the Shaoshi Mountains. The Monks in the Shaolin Temple did not only read Sutra every day, they also learned Martial Arts to improve their physical health. Over time, Shaolin had developed its own Martial Art theories and became one of the most respected factions in the Martial Arts World.

Schools - Wudang
Wudang contains a mental skill that puts them as the leader among the internal skills, which belongs to the Quanzheng type of Taoism. There are often Wudang disciples entering Jianghu to help and save the common people, by those means, Wudang gains a good fame of Xia and is equal to Shaolin in Wulin.

Origin
Wudang originated from the Ming Dynasty. It was set up by the famous Kong-fu master, Zhang Sanfeng, as a Taoist temple. Since these faction members are all Taoists, they believe in the theory of "Conquering the unyielding with the yielding", and are very good at Internal Kung Fu. This faction is as famous as Shaolin and has a very high reputation.

Although the disciples of Emei are female, they are the largest school in the Southwest thanks to their wide influence. Emei is just as big as the Shaolin and Wudang in the Middle Continent. They despise evil as a deadly foe and have a strong sense of justice, yet always ready to help the less fortunate.

Emei was set up by a legendary female Kung-fu Master, Guo Xiang. This faction members are all females. But this does not make Emei inferior in comparison with other Schools. What's more, Emei has the most famous Kung-fu and formation scrolls, which make it as famous as Shaolin and Wudang.

The disciples of the Tangmen are abnormal and ambivalent, as they have a unique way traveling in Jianghu. They belong to neither the justice nor the evil side. But many people are afraid of the hidden weapons and poisons of the Tangmen. Most of the Wuling people think that the Tangmen side with evil, which the Tangmen disciples turn a blind eye to those comments.

Tang was a familial faction, which was famous of its hidden weapons and poisons. Although it had hundreds of years of history and is very famous, this faction was still a mystery. That's because the members of Tang didn't like to show up in the martial-art world. But you must be careful if you met them, because you would never know when you would be hit by a hidden weapon.

"Gai" means beggar in Chinese. No matter when or where you are and when it is, you can always find beggars. So the members of the Gai are everywhere. It was definitely the biggest school in the martial-art world. Although the beggars' behaviors were between good and evil, they actually like to help others. So, this school was well accepted by the people in the bottom of the society.

Scholar was set up by two refined scholars, Xiao Bieqing and Shi Yanbing. They felt like old friends in their first meeting and decided to set up this school. The members in Scholar were all good at lute-playing, chess, calligraphy and painting. Their Kung-fu skills were using tunes to attack, which is very special. So, they had to spend a lot of time on internal Kung-fu training.

The Royal Guards were actually a government agency that was established by the Ming Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang to control and destroy the Chinese Martial Arts world. The Royal Guards mainly used evil Kung Fu Skills. This special faction was involved in many secret undertakings, and all the other schools were afraid of being related with the Royal Guards faction.

Overview:
The gold comes from your crafting, you dont get gold or equipment drops from mobs. Mobs are not monsters in this game but humans that are evil. The mobs will drop crafting materials which you make and sell to ppl. When you do instance (similar to dungeons they drop skill books. This game is not weapon/equipment heavy so you dont spend hours a day trying to perfect your equipment/weapon. This game is very skill oriented so the pvping style in this game is not spam the attacks but rather come up with a counter attack. You can glide, run, jump, do flips in the air, run on water and attack too, and climb on walls.

Skils and Schools:
There are 8 schools that you can join. Shaolin, Wudang, Scholar, Bliss Valley, Tang, Emei, Royal Guards, and Beggar. Each school has 3 different skills set, they are all unique, they typically use staff, sword (single and twin), blade (single and double), chain, and darts. One last thing about the earing skill points, since there no character lvl, the strenght of the character depends on the skills and the personal controlling it. The skill experience could be earn from doing quest, instances, using your runing skills, talking npc, and others. Once you earn the skill points, you will mediate and use the skill points for the skill you like to upgrade or learn new skills.

Guild Info:

You can own a piece of land in this game and build a guild. You can build a training room to traing your members to become stronger or a mediating area for them to use. You can burn down your enemies guild while they are sleeping. lol

Unique Offline Feature:
When you log off in this game your character will not disappear in the Wushu World, it will become and NPC so that it can interact with other characters online. Your character can also be kidnapped and sold to the whorehouse(for female character) and for male you can be sold to the mine or heavy lifting. You can work your way out or pay our way out. When you log back online there is a record of everything that went on during the game when you're not there. So you wil know who kidnapped you. You can also hire ppls to kill others.

This game promotes Evil vs Good so every character has a good and bad meter. Some school are good and some are bad so pick wisely. You can unlock quest if you have good deeds and bad deeds. If you come from a good school and do bad things like pking you will be punished. Ask me more if you have more questions.

Ya when I was looking at this game a few days ago I was drawn to the idea of no leveling....lots of skills and the way you control your character....Its a fresh break from grinding to reach 1000 levels just to be good...which is what you find in most mmorpg games...

Finally managed to create a character after being disconnected 3 times. Then I found that it had the preset save thingy... I just tend to spend a lot of time creating my char for any game that offers some customisation. It doesn't have as much customisation as I would like, such as no hair color, only a handful of hair styles and such stuff. Didn't get my char looking exactly how I wanted, but I guess chinese people have different facial features.
