A few friends and I are starting a gaming website for reviews, news, deals, tips, and more, named GameDebrief. This is project meant to come from the fun and sport of gaming and not intended to make much money from it. The ads are there to pay for games and anything else we may need to stay on top of new games and coverage. You can visit the website (it's still under construction of course) at http://gamedebrief.com . We need many reporters and a few editors!

Requirements: 18+ and good with English (preferably native tongue, unless you're fluent in English,) and to be a passionate gamer!

Editor
Requirements: 18+ and GREAT with English and grammar. The ability to revise posts to fit the guidelines and make sure proper citation is present.


What you get in return: Experience, hopefully free games, and public appearance.

I'm kind of interested in this. Would it be possible, if it got really popular and was making decent money, to be paid for one of these positions?

I'd be down to help, tried to open the website but it didn't work Maybe cuz i'm all the way in Indonesia right now, but yeah when i get back Canada side i wouldn't mind lending a hand.

Love the game, love to type. Wouldn't mind helping out a friend and seeing where this might go.

@Tasdik Well we're debating to be a LLC or an Organization, so it'll depend on that, but we could change in the future.

@Key-J Yah I'm still working on ip-ranges getting unbanned, hopefully it'll be soon so people can use the image host as well

I wouldn't mind helping, but I don't think I'm suited for writing. I have a very stale writing style.
I suppose you want US people anyway? Seems a little expensive to be mailing games all the time to EU or wherever. Steam only has so many games :/

Might be cool. Though I'm curious as to how you'll try to build a fanbase more than anything. Anyone can start up a review site and they crash n burn quicker than the speed of light.

The fan base will be the biggest obstacle we'll have to deal with, though I have a few ideas about this. Our first goal though is to make sure we've got everything smoothly going, then we can really build our on viewers.

I could help, my English is not so great but I do care for grammar and those stuff. Not really up-to-date with today's games but I think I am good with researching stuff. I could help but can't promise you anything.

I wouldn't mind doing an article now and then, like a game review. I don't need to be paid, and wouldn't mind paying for the game myself.

No offense but that looks like a blog ( not a good thing ).

I'd be down to help out as an Editor. My english and grammar are both on point and this would be fun.

I have to mention I really love the articles on all the visual settings. Good stuff, very educational. It's often very hard to derive what certain setting do by their names, so I'm glad to see some nice clear explanations.

I have a 3DS/DS, a PS3, and a PC. I can contribute if you want - I can write some tips and reviews from time to time on games that I own and the ones that I'm planning to purchase.

You've probably done this one already but just in case no one mentioned it yet, it would help if one of the site owners had a membership to a game rental company like GameFly to save on expenses.

I wouldn't mind helping, but I really don't know what I can do lol.

But here's some feedback:

The pictures (in the articles) have a white border and a really light and pale shade of blue as text; so this could make it a bit hard to read (well for me it did). Could I suggest a different shade of grey as the border?

Also, the tabs at the top are a bit unorganized, all the systems should be beside each other and everything else with everything else; maybe something like:

Home, News, Reviews, Info, Tips, 3DS, Wii, PS3, Vita, Xbox, Kinect, PC, Mobile

I'm not suited to be a reporter, but I wouldn't mind helping with the editing. By the sounds of things you have quite a lot of people wanting to help, but I'd be willing to help out if you need it.
