What has Metal Gear gone to?

I've never played a MG game before. I know this isn't like the others, but from what I hear the Solid series has ended and this is like a new book. And it looks pretty awesome, I must say.

I'm just not liking the lightning on his blade. It looks too flashy and you get bored seeing it too much. It's the type of effect that should be reserved for special attacks.

If you've paid attention at all to the earliest reports of the game, it was always known that it would be nothing like the old MGS games. I personally don't know whether I'll like the game itself or not. Different type of action compared to the old ones.

You say that but I highly doubt you or most "ppl" would've brought it if it wasn't already associated with a franchise.

I think it's better than watching a game. like Guns of the patriots. I liked the LONG Cinematics, but not the short gameplay that led up to them. I literally remember only the boss fights from MGS4

Sooooooooo did anyone pick this up? Apart from being corny, i was pretty happy with it. Great action and a good way to relieve anger lol. Currently fighting the senator....dunno what happened there but seriously worst character ever..

Played it at a friends house and loved how challenging it was.

Havent played Metal Gear since 2. Tried the demo and im just like, wth? I thought Metal Gear was a stealthy, complex game. This felt like run and gun with melee, and picking up random weapons you don't even quip but hold a button to use(I think?) and I thought metal gears were like some big important.. thing super secret and stuff. Now they sound like cows and are all over the place? And Raiden sure seemed different.

But yea, don't know too much about Metal Gear tho, didn't know it wouldn't be like the others so w/e lol.

1. Either your dyslexic, retarded, or just too lazy to read the conversation above you about the fact that it's a whole knew game they just used the old name.

2. Saying you played mg2 and this isn't how a metal gear game is supposed to be is like me saying I only played up to CoD2 and then I played mw2 and that's not how the game is supposed to be its supposed to be about ww2 and stuff.

I actually said i'm not much of a MGS fan and don't know much about it. And that I did not indeed know it wouldn't be like the others. I like Metal gear 1 and 2, but not knowing much or being a big fan didn't pay much attention. So when I tried the demo for this one, I was quite disappointed.

I said I thought MG was different. Not this isn't how MG is supposed to be lol.
