So, my friend is developing this Indie game called "Helios". He has been working on it for several years now. He started out alone but the game has recently gotten quite some attention and he now has some people helping him with designs, animation, textures etc.

Anyway, there is currently a competition going on for the nomination of the best Indie game of 2011, and it would be really neat if you guys would help him by voting for the game. It's dead simple, all you have to do is go to the site and press "vote" - that's all.

I normally don't ask favors like this, but he's been so enthusiastic and I know it would mean a lot to him if he could get some recognition by getting a good position in this contest.

Also, while you're there, check out the game pictures etc. The game looks really neat! It's a roleplaying game and he's doing very well, in my opinion.

No, he's not writing his own. He's using some other Engine. Frankly, I don't know which one it is. I can find out though. Will ask him later today and let you know

But yeah, he's been working on this for a long time now. Really admire his passion for the game.

I went to the site and then I voted for Bastion.

I would've voted for your friend but then I'd feel bad for the game that should win.

Nope it uses Unity3D with his own Framework.
