Games you played when you were younger, or even more recently that you can just keep playing over and over again. Games that no matter no old they may look they get tiresome or boring.
For me this game is Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn.

While i can only assume those on the forum are familiar with games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age & KOTOR. Baldur's Gate II is a great granddaddy to these games, slightly older game, but still Bioware produced and stand out as the companies top flagship entire into the RPG market, and is still recognised as one of the top PC games of all time.
Main game theme
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn is a game that while being over 10 years old was groundbreaking at the time. In fact play a more recent Bioware (or for that fact any RPG) game and you will see things we take for common place know were revolutionary back then. Character voices, massive landscapes, detailed quests and epic storylines all arch back to this game.
Even from the get go when you first make your full customisable character everything you do, every quest and encounters our based of choices that you make, your party members vary from the timid elf Aerie to the muscle bound barbarian Minsc and his space hamster Boo

It was the Epic storyline that grabbed peoples attention, this wasn’t a typical story of good version evil....this was a story about personal vengeance, loss and gain. Where the lines between bad and good being blurred all the while you quest for your own goals. This isn’t about saving a kingdom or rescuing a princess....this is about taking back what was stolen from you and making those responsible pay.
The engaging and amazing companions that join you in your quest bring it truly to life, each one with their own multi-quested side quests and each very real. Do not expect cardboard cut out wizard and warriors in this game. Your party will range from the sadistic and rude to the insane and timid.

Many know a days compare this game to Dragon Age, some even going as far as to call Dragon Age the spiritual successor to this game. While parallels can be draw between the two, Baldur's Gate II stands out as the far more superior game, with over 120 hours of game play in total (taking into account all the varied side quests) and then another expansion pack and its side quests. All the ever changing areas visit able and the ability to custom and modify the game anyway one pleases makes Baldur's Gate II a game that not only deserves to be played but can be played in such a way that even untouched no two playthrough are the same, yet add a single mod file and anything can be changed to dramatic fashion.
This is a game that i play once every year, and have done so single buying it back when it first came out in 2001. While it looks dated, and i know each quest, area inside and out...it still captivates me.
