IS UP NOW go to your battle net account and locate the beta mode button or whatever and you should download diablo 3 beta! its gonna be awesome!!!!!!!

It's not up. You had me going though even though I knew it wasn't up

The only thing you can do on your battle net account is select your beta profile.

The D3 beta is confirmed to come in september.

I was under the impression that it was a Friends&Family beta rather than a public one at this moment.

Any new character types? I remember when I was like 12 (17 now), I had a lvl 79 necro, and our harddrive crashed I was sad for quite a while. I also just got Tyrael's Might from my cousin.. Played a few times since then, but ehh.

They are releasing it too soon... Should work on it more...

I want the sc2 expansion before D3
Or else I will lose all my friends on sc2, as I wont be playing D3.

Except the NDA was lifted now I believe. I haven't really been following D3

It's a very closed internal beta. Only family and friends can paly it, and probably a select group of gamers.

It's the same thing as sc2 beta. They pick a very small amount for the first wave of beta invites, then increase the amount of invites the next wave (took a week for sc2), and so on. To get an invite, update your beta profile on battle.net

^Well, at least I get to know the Closed Beta is up, meaning the game can be released any time soon... hopefully.

The Diablo 3 beta launcher has been leaked.

But, yea it seems like they are aiming for a decemeber release of the game.

The by the look of it you meant that it's already open for everyone. Which is not true. Though getting ready and warning I'm sure we all went and double checked to see if we checked off "I'm interested in Diablo betas"

I'm guessing you didn't read my post at all then. But hey...I expected that.

I really hope D3 to be challenging. D2 was okay, just kill, spam pots or if you die, just because mobs was too strong or you too underleveled. I want some challenge that involve thinking in the middle of the battle, not just hack and slash and spam skills.
I think adding cooldown into the skills would be somehow nice, but I don't think that'd be happen. Too MMO-ish.

People enjoyed the Diablo series because it's just like what you said, pure hack-n-slash.

Diablo 3 isnt hack n slash.

Diablo 3 also has cooldowns to some skills.
