So far, I'm considering purchasing Catherine.




Any suggestions or comments about this game?

My cousin got it, i'm more into this because of the story since everything single move you do, affects the game play and the puzzles are hard as **** so it's a huge challenge.
A must I must say.

Yeah I downloaded the demo and it seems like pretty inviting from what I've experienced so far. I'm also looking at Heavy Rain but I probably will end up buying them both later on. For Catherine I might just wait until the prices sink a little since I don't find the idea of paying $60 ($80 for deluxe) for a puzzle block-moving game (and, from what I hear, an awesome storyline) to be reasonable. I'm waiting for Dead Island anyway and I have a stupid State board exam coming up really soon. =/

Heavy rain is pretty good if you get past the first 5 hours of story more boring than the new testament, like watching a movie more than playing a video game, want to propose to the God of War-esque quick time events, and don't give a shit about replay value. Besides all that, it's a very engaging "game".

I used to have a soft spot for japanese games where most of the time and a higher percent of the budget is geared towards story and unique character and monster design than western and eastern EU games. I must admit I've always liked the hero that had defined qualities and characterizations with complex relationships opposed to the western blank slate types.

But then square enix stomped the shit out of that.

I don't play any horror games, but as for unique PS3 games:
Valkyria Chronicles is my all time favorite on PS3
I personally think El Shaddai is very unique and interesting as well

Like no offense, just like someone said. Props to the people behind this, because everyone thinks CoD or that FPS crap sequels will sell fast but they are the same shit all over and over again.
That's why Catherine is different. Many players thinks this is a 'wtf is this' because they are not used like they are to their FPS games. Huge leap to the gaming world, that will make developers to make more unique games and not more FPS/Hack and slash/RPG etc that we are tired of.

Not saying you are a FPS player or something, I just thought I could share this. Sure, you don't get the idea or not like it. Opinions/criticism are always welcome.

I said it, because the whole game seems somewhat strange, the guy in his underwear, the sheep, the 2 girls, I am tempted to actually try the game, but I'm not willing to pay $60 for a puzzle game.

I am actually waiting for the price to drop drastically.
I mean, yeah is a good game but not really to buy it once it's released.
