so it says i need to reset my password and then it says: an email has been sent to (my email) 4 days later i didnt get it yet so i decided to just start over and create a new one. after creating it and verifying it through email and everything, I try to log in to psn (on my ps3 not my pc) and it says: cannot sign in using another user's sign in id. and i tried like 5 times so im 99% sure that its not a typing mistake. has this happened to any of u guys? if so, do u know how to solve this problem?

Why would you create a new PSN ID, you'll lose all your stats. And you won't be able to claim your welcome back package.
I personally didn't have the e-mail problem, I didn't even need an e-mail to reset my PW. But I'm a member of a PS3 community and several people complained about this. Sony also made a statement that they were getting so many requests that some people were experiencing problems with it.

A tip I read somewhere, was that you could press the "Forgot PW" thingie and it would send you a mail and it worked. Don't know if it's true, 'cause I didn't need it, but it's worth a shot.

the thing is that it asks for the birthdate but I put a fake birthdate since im under 18 and now i dont remember what I put as my birthdate

Can't you request them to send the PW reset mail again?

Otherwise I guess you can either wait for the mail. Not sure if you'll ever get it, but at least Sony said that they would arrive eventually.
Or you could call Sony support and explain the situation, they'll probably ask for some info and do it for you.

well if i wouldve put my real birthdate i wouldve needed a guardian for my account or something and thats just gay

thats why when you fake your date of birth you use the same fake one for everything, mine was always just 1/2 years off my original until i was of age, easy to remember

they might change the birthday thing.. a lot of others are complaining about it too.

Weird. I reset mine right on the ps3 and logged in a second afterwards. No email needed.

I dont get why some people dont even need an email to change their password

You only need an Email if it's a Different PS3 Console that was used to activate you account Initially.

Some people have gotten New Ps3's

The email if not activated after 3 hours of the requesting email , it can't be used anymore .

Request a new email but as there are too many emails sent by sony now it may get late .

Next time when it asks for birthday , write the same birth day/month you were born at but change the year to something you can remember , As if you were born 1998 make it 1989 .
