Black Prophecy is a 3D real-time combat space massively multiplayer online game. It's free to play, no hidden costs.
The game is set in the 26th century, where mankind has expanded across the galaxy, yet only few of its colonies are controlled by Humans. Two main factions dominate space: the cybernetically enhanced Tyi and the biogenetically perfected Genides. On their quest for territorial domination they enter the territory of an ancient alien race called the "Restorers", who exhibit a destructive behaviour to other civilizations.
The player is asked to join one of these two dominant races to uncover the mystery of the Restorers and grant the survival of the three human species.
Looks sexy damn! But I think my laptop will crash if I even just open their site rofl...Can't imagine being easy on your computer (aka low specs needed).

Played in the European closed beta, even though I live in the US(played with European ping, wasn't too great >.<). At the stage it was in, it was great. A little repetitive though. I didn't go far since I thought it could use some more work. That was around 2 months ago. I'd like to see how far it has progressed.

I've been playing since last night, and I have to say, the graphics are stunning. They really are amazing. My FPS goes a bit lame at 'Very High' settings, so I set them to 'High'. But that might be thanks to my sucky ATI HD4670 GFX card.
Just a heads up for when you start this game, the 3 first missions are pretty laggy, but after that its all smooth. I'm still doing the first few missions to get out of the nebula, after I get out I'll be able to choose a side, I think I'll go with the Genides.
''Even though Tyi and Genide ships may look completely different, the technical specifications of their components are the same. In general, a space-worthy ship is built of the following components:
•Cockpit •Left and right wing •Left and right engine These components can also be added:
•Up to four normal weapons •A rocket launcher with up to two rockets •A shield generator In order to be able to add better modules to their ship, players need to invest points in nine skills. The ninth will unlock new flight maneuvers and tactics. Each skill level also corresponds to the level of the module that can be used. It's important to note that not all module levels are compatible with one another. There is a certain amount of tolerance, though, that allows much stronger components to be added to weaker parts.
We are often asked if there are ship classes in Black Prophecy like there are in many other online games. The answer to that question is a definite maybe. Ship classes are not assigned or set but are defined by the modules used. This allows players to install the strongest weapons and heaviest shields and prowl around outer space like a tank. If that's not really your style, then choose smaller weapons and lighter armor and use your increased mobility to your advantage against slower opponents. ''
Adding my IGN in the first post.

I thought this looked too good to be true; so I looked up some gameplay videos...this game looks stunning, but it looks like it's gonna be harder to run than Crysis LOL

I decided to go with the Tyi faction, since some people I was doing missions with together were also going Tyi. I'm adding races to the IGN, so you can see who is Tyi or Genide.
