Just wondering, is anybody playing Maplestory now? (After the Big Bang patch)

and has it hit all the versions or just usa/korea?

Can't believe you can't PvP in this game, that's why Runescape was always superior to it

may start playing this over break.

Not sure if it has hit all versions, but it's definitely hit Korea and USA. The patch is split into 3 parts, only the first part has been released. The second part is apparently being released the 15th, which will include 2 of the 3 resistance classes. The last patch will include the last resistance class, the mechanic.

The Big Bang patch has fixed many of the flaws it had pre-bb. The exp curve has been drastically modified; so it's extremely easy to level now. With that being said, they took out the 2x xp cards from cash shop. They've made some big changes to the adventurers classes (Thief, Warrior, Mage, Bowman). They look out completely useless skills like roar. They've completely changed the main island, making it so you only have to travel 5 maps to get to another town. All the towns are 2 maps away from what's called the 6 Paths Crossway.

There will be pvp in the future, but it was just announced in KMS; so it's going to be a while. It comes with the other big patch called Chaos.

Too bad the graphics are incredibly flamboyant. If they weren't like that, and if it wasn't a grindfest completely, I would play.

Maplestory graphics > SRO graphics, not even joking.

Oh and it supports up to one resolution higher than 800x600. It may not seem much, but wait until you see it damn.

No I see what your saying. For what they are, they're better. I just despise that style of graphics tbh, but it sucks because this patch sounds awesome. too bad

I'd actually play if the PvP was released. I always loved "side-scrolling" PvP like Dragonica.

Yes the game is in 2D.

I actually played KMS and I can tell you, Battle Mages Wild Hunters and Mechanics are really fun to play. Adventurers and cygnuses also get revamped. Also your able to put maplestory in a higher HD resolution.

Lol I remember playing Maple (SEA) around 2006. I've seen a lot of side scrolling games so I don't see any reason why they can't work a system out for this one. Tweaking skills, damage, and setting limits is a necessity though. And maybe set up custom maps to accommodate various matches (sin vs snip / war vs mag) to even out battles between different classes.

Watched a vid of someone leveling an i/l mage to 70 in 9 hours *downloading now*

Saw vid, interesting... any other vid guides of ppl leveling that fast (preferably the adventurer classes)

I/L mages is probably the biggest ks class next to archers in BB. The thunder skill for second job now hits monsters 3x instead of the 1.

are archers good now?

Pt 2 of the patch is happening right now, next time maple comes up, there will be a new server, and 2 new classes (Battlemage, Wild Hunter)

big pos game, errors all the time trying to install the game, now patch crashes, im done with this.

I also had alot of trouble installing and patching but yeah... Can't play the USA version and the SEA takes very long to download so I cba.

I really wish I lived in NA sometimes, then I could play Vindictus and this and what-not.
