So..This came out yesterday. Anyone get it? So far it seems like a copy of fallout 3 with a different storyline and landscape, but it's still amazingly fun. Trying to play it through on hardcore mode at the moment, gonna be tough.

i wasn't a fan of the first fallout but this seems like the exact same thing in a new setting that doesn't really change much. Rundown buildings can only hold my attention for so long...

+1. Fallout 3 was never able to hold my attention for more than an hour at a time. I got it 35-40% complete once before, then I gave up on it. Haven't seen anything that says this isn't SSDD.

The game's pretty cool, I just saved the deputy at primm and I've decided to help the town and all that.

I loved killing a group of convicts using the incinerator

So I played Fallout 3 and I don't know. After a while it just started getting boring. I beat it of course, but I don't think I'm gonna get New Vegas. It does look pretty cool though.

Ummmm....my game glitched out big time. My two companions dissapeared, and I magically skipped ahead about 3-5 key story quests. Now I have a bunch of people giving me offers and I don't know what the background is at all.

Just great...

I was gambling in a casino on a one-armed bandit . After i came from 100-> about 300 chips i thought: "Hey let's have fun and bet 200 chips once"
Ofcourse this one time i got three grapes and won 16000 chips ( highest price you can get)
End of story -> I was directly banned from that casino...

HAhaha really?

That's hilarious

I've got 18k caps and I'm like 2 mainquest parts into the game :D
Just clearing everything slowly.

Just reached Novac , and I've already got 27 star bottle caps. The guy hasn't approached me yet regarding these star bottle caps tho so please don't spoil it, my friend said it was important.

Caravan = WIN.

I'm through, had the NCR ending (after i guess just around 30 hours playtime).
Although i am wondering why i got 4k exp for the last mission if i can't continue anyway...

Anyway i really liked the improvements obsidian made.
Sure they don't changed much on the overall gameplay and the main story still isn't that much thrilling as it could be in my opinion, but i really liked that you had to make so many choices and everyone made it's own small or big changes.

I have the feeling that the next fallout can be another game of the year if they continue to go in this direction.

Killed a legendary fire gecko and a rad scorpion queen. Both of them are huge but you get nothing special for beating them. The legendary fire gecko was 2 hitting my level 16 character though.

The only part I found fun in Fallout 3 was the character creation. I never got past the city with the nuke in it because I would always get bored after completing the quests for that area.

Seeing it on steam tempts me to buy the x-pac. Must I have played the vanilla to play the x-pac?

Not an expansion, it's stand-alone.

Totally unrelated to Fallout 3, too.

Just got some golden boxing gloves which you can get in the Lucky 38, at the VIP bar, at the casino floor. They got a K.O. effect. Those gloves are fun, if you got Boone and ED-E with you. I just K.O. everyone and boone finishes them while they lay K.O. on the ground.

I lol'd. knocked the whole strip out.
