A new Age of Empires game has been announced.
Robot has finally shown the fruits of their work.

when i was a kid i think ill give this one a try
the graphics are cartoonish

6:30 the game is said to be f2p

The vid is very informational and definitely increased my hopes for this game.
it seems the storage pits have been brought back, and the game now features gear and drops
so you can Arm your D00dz with epic +6 shields and own all.

I must say, the graphics are actually pretty nice. Robot made good use of the style they created and things look very lively. Lots of ridiculous animations and stuff like that, and good design on units and wild animals and stuff like that. And the buildings kind of have a 2D feel about them even though they are completely 3D, but it makes my age1/2 sense tingle a bit

Anyone think the next available civ will be the Norse? And do you think there'll be more after that? I'm hoping for Babylonians after the Norse.

Age of empires 1,2 don't have that much graphic but Age of empires 3 is Pretty good both at graphics and gameplay .

first 10~15 levels or so are pretty much just tutorials.
I think I got to level 18 last time, but then they reset the accounts on the same day I bought sc2, cause of alterations in the noob quests, and I haven't touched it since... (moreover I believe at that time they temporarily shut off the Egyptians).

I might give this game a try just because I loved most of the games in the AoE series and like many of us, played it shitloads!

AOE series was addicting to me. I just liked playing these types of games. I really wanna try this out now!

So, being the super ultra omega AoE fan that I am, I obviously am playing now that it's released.

I'm still super confused at several things though.

And also slightly disappointed at the premium > non premium players things due to advantages although there are some good system in place (somewhat).

The forums are buggy as hell and non-secured (you have to login with your windows ID...) so I can't even make a topic to ask questions.

The gmae however, is awesome. I'm absolutely loving it so far.

I'm entering my third row of game icons, I won't be installing AoEO for a while :/. I lost my motivation after they wiped my city in the beta Q_Q

I played, found out that it's basically a pay to play game if you want to be competitive at all, decided it wasn't worth my money and stopped playing.
