Vindictus is a free-to-play action-oriented massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by devCAT, an internal studio of Korean free-to-play game publisher Nexon. Vindictus is a prequel to the popular MMORPG Mabinogi and is known as Mabinogi Heroes outside of North America.

Vindictus takes place in the same setting used in Mabinogi, but is placed chronologically several hundred years prior to the first game during a period of war and strife. Nexon America, Nexon's North American division, announced the new name on March 12, 2010 at the Game Developers' Conference in San Francisco.

Gameplay
Vindictus uses the Source engine to allow players to interact extensively with the environment. Environmental objects can be destroyed or picked up and wielded as weapons. Combat is described as "kind of brutal, like a bullfight," and will require a lot of teamwork.

Classes
Vindictus' "Classes" and "characters" are one and the same. When beginning the game, players have a choice to play as one of three characters, each of which has different combat skills and abilities. Players are free to alter certain aspects of their character's appearance, but basic abilities and combat styles are set at character creation.

Characters
Lann: Lann is a male character described as "An intrepid warrior with a passion for weapons." The character specializes in dual-wielding weapons, espcially swords. The character is a fast-attack melee class that starts out wearing light armor (though he gains that capability to wearing heavier armor as he levels up) who relies on speed to win battles.

Fiona: Fiona is a female character described as a "balanced warrior who wields a sword and shield." Fiona is a defensive melee character who is able to wear armor at character creation and acquires the ability to wear plate mail as she levels.

I'm not impressed by the looks of it or the aim with mouse idea. Gameplay looks meh from what was provided in both videos. First video looks more cinematic more than gameplay as said in the title of that video. 2nd video I didn't bother listening to the guy, but watched a min or so in the background of the game. Not impressed.

1:10 of first video is actual gameplay. And id rather not play anymore games where i just...1..2..3..4..1..2..4..3..2.. button spam all the damn time.

@Other dude(lol)...Idk if its level based yet.

The aiming part concept is a great idea. Believe me I would really enjoy it, but you gotta realize many gamers are lazy players. The idea itself, at least I believe, will fail. That does include Tera after sometime.

Again the gameplay doesn't impress me.

I very much like the action theme but I see myself playing gw2 is this timeframe.

mmm interesting. If my crappy pc can run it smoothly I think I'll try it out.

I've tried so many F2p mmo's to realize they re all the same minus 1 or 2 features. Not saying the game is bad, but I doubt i will try it.

Just cause you make an MMO it doesn't mean tht they all need to be alike

Wonder why they still try to create games when they know its the apocalypse of MMOs when GW2 will be released. Only survivors will be GW2 and WoW

As for GW2, yeah... not as awesome as I thought it would be, not thrilled about the classes/races. My hopes lie with either I get into Cataclysm again with WoW or Tera Online has great PvE.

it doesn't look like an awesome but I think it's worth a try, who knows, it might be the best mmo ever ^^
