Any good 'new' games that take me on epic adventures available? I want to play something epic on my new pc . preferably a fantasy-ish. I want something with a good story.
Enlighten me, I've ignored all the news about newer games since I previously wasn't able to play them anyway...

Braid is awesome. Not really new though. But if you havent played it definitely give it a try.

I was going to say platformers are best played in consoles but controls for pc do exist but then again stuff like GoW3 isnt on pc so ya ... my recommendation is GoW3 btw, haven't finished it yet but pretty great so far ( the first 2 installments are up there too if you havent checked them out ).

Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2

Dragon Age: Origins.

It ticks all the boxes.

Assassin's Creed 1/2, Dragon Age Origins, Prince of Persia series. All good games that should have epic adventure.
Dragon Age is probably the best to test your new system. Prince of Persia is my favorite adventure-rpg.
GTA 4 also comes to mind. May not be fantasy, but it will test your system and it has a good storyline.

yeah, I was personally thinking of PoP4 but somehow my mind didn't feel up to it. same with AC and DA I'm skeptical about for no apparent reason. But I need something much simpler... like Rayman or Sonic or Mario and the like.
I want to test my new system and see what I've missed out on in these last few years D:.
You guys can start suggesting games released after 2005 (not like that will put my system to the test but w/e).

Ok well I'm afraid I don't know too much in the Mario/Sonic category. Something just popped into my head though; it's Beyond Good and Evil. IIRC, that's a game like Rayman, has fantasy, is an adventure RPG. Worth checking out.
If you want to stray from the rayman/fantasy I highly recommend GTA San Andreas as game with a great storyline. For FPS I recommend Half Life 2, which is a 'fantasy' shooter, HL2 has the very best storyline a game can have imo.

Tbh, if it's fantasy RPG you want.. get a PlayStation. Playstation is like the place for fantasy RPG.

^ Yeah I was gonna suggest Fable too. It's a great game, only problem is that it's too short

think I'll go with beyond good and evil. I was already considering it anyway...

Could have at least explained ITT then as well before I had to google that one as well. There's quite a few of options (I Think That, In This Thread etc)
