Anyone else get a copy, cause I did, and I am enjoying it so far, absolute fun to play. If anyone's got one whats your first impressions?

I hate how much they've deviated from normal Final fantasy, I've heard terrible things about it, and am very angry at some of the changes. That being said, I'm playing now, and will see for myself.

If your playing it and comparing it to previous FF as you play your not going to enjoy it as much as you would just playing it and taking it for what it is. I actually enjoy each new way the battle system/game mechanics is change, from ff7 to ff12.

I bought this game today. You know what else happened today? My ps3 died! lovely

Well that sucks. offtopic: Once God of War 3 comes out I'll be satisfied till fall.

Preordered the collectors edition and picked it up at EB during the midnight launch. 5 hours played so far and im having fun.

I would play this if this had a good battle system, but all you do is press to select your attack
Graphics are good tho

The Paradigm system is a fast paced kinetic battle system that is in no way bad, in fact its awesome!

They should make it more ninja gaiden/tekken/devil may cry/something more alike

And when have you not done this in any of the other final fantasy? I mean selecting attack/skills/magic has been in the series for as long as I remember. I don't understand plz do explain specifically what you don't like about the battle system?

You realize that the battle system they use is widely used? Example Pokemon.

It is a wonderful system, because you have time to think about it before you make your move. If you don't like it then well.. I have nothing to say really.

The only problem I have with the game for now is that there's no option to run from battles atleast none that I know off, I always accidentally get into some hard ass battle with some mob that has a ton of hp and massive defense and it takes forever to stagger them.
offtopic: as far as battle systems/gameplay mechanics go, ff8's has been my favorite since day one.

I wouldn't know about FF, i never played any, but that was my point, i was thinking of getting it for my ps3 and decided to take a look at gameplay and it dissapointed me because of the combat system, it's just not my thing, that's what i ment,

I love the fact that they constantly change it. Better to add new things than make a ton of games with the same exact gameplay (dbz games lmao)

I myself will play this Friday. Woulda had it yesterday, but wally world was sold out.

I respect your opinion, but the battle system in this game is a lot more fast paced than other similar games. It requires you to pay attention or you will die even with a party of all healers.

got to fifth ark like 2 days ago, haven't had time to play it since, but FUCKIN AWESOME

i use lightning/hope/vanille using com/rav/rav to start off, then com/syn/sab, or com/rav/medic depending on the situation

Meaning you have yet to play, horrible reason to not try a game. But that's just all assumption on my part, do forgive if I'd assumed wrong.

+1 I'd be annoyed as shit if I had to keep using materia for like 5 games.

my save file corupted

21 hours wasted

and thats why you make multiple saves...

lol crap **** I only have 1 save as well.

Back to where i was in 16 hours

And making a seperate file every savepoint i pass..

Still on chapter 7 =/

On chapter 11 now, farming cp by the King Behemoth/Wolf spot, gonna max out all 6 roles for all 6 characters.

I beat the final boss today.
