I've bought a PS3 3 months ago and got 3 games now + 2 controllers. (Costs: +- €510,-)
I'm playing MW2 alot, but I don't really like the community on PSN and I heard XBL has a way better community to play with and most of my classmates have the XBox

So what I was thinking: Selling PS3 with the games and controllers(obviously) and buy an XBox 360, I might even safe some money.

Tho, I'm still not sure if I should. So I wanna hear some opinions.

just bought a PS3 wit h2 controllers and MW2 and it costed me only 300 euro and i like the PSN.

sure, Xbox Live is better at this moment, but PSN is still in it's baby shoes. But they're already adding many options to it, so i think it will be improved alot in the future.

If you can afford to pay XBL then I'd say do it, and if all of your class-mates play 360 then I think it's a good choice. But be aware or the cons and pros before making that choice, you don't want to end up regreting it :p

Since your friends have an Xbox 360, go with the 360. Both communities have douchebags so it's okay.

f*ck ps3 and xbox live sh*t, i have a ps3 and love it but i don't play online, my online is on a pc. but i love my ps3 and no sh*tbox 360 will win me over!

Community will be the same, if not worse on XBL. More kids have 360's..Don't go by word of mouth. It's a hard decision to make but you'll probably be thinking either time - shit I should of gotten the other console.

seriously what would make you think that XBL has a better community,having said that if you desire playing with your friends that badly I think you should go for it ( I wouldn't personally ).

Having played both online, I'd say PS3 is the way to go. I honestly don't like the live interface. Most ppl have 360 because it was cheaper than the ps3 when the ps3 came out.

PS3, Xbox 360 or PC is gonna have it's share of idiots.

I played alot MW2 and I hardly have little kids whining or grown ups for that matter. I did play on several times so no it's not just I was on at the 'wrong' time

I've had an xbox for a while now and I have thousands of hours logged (I literally have like 2000 games played in NHL alone).

I recently (Dec26) bought a PS3 and I have about 7 games now.

The only question you need to ask yourself is the following:

"What do my friends play?"

The way you'll get the best experience is by playing with people you know, regardless of the games or console performance.

Other than that i've noticed the xbox is a lot more straight forward and user friendly. You plug it in, you play.

The PS3 offers a lot more in terms of media but it feels less like a console and more like a computer.

In short I would say that if you're a casual gamer, you buy an xbox. If you're a tech enthusiast, you buy a PS3. If you're a hardcore gamer, it doesn't matter; you already have your own opinion.
