Why does a japanese game have English title, and menu select?

I'm tempted to watch, but I really don't want to spoil the game for myself.

I've not played any different versions of Req, and haven't on Sro for long enough to remember if they did or not, if thats what you mean.

It is indeed weird that a japanese game has english menu select..not so much title.

I know it sucks from hearing the reviews of it. Even the Japanese are complaining on how the game got so "Western".

lol that video does make it seem rather gay, but yea, until you try it I guess.

13 didn't seem to appealing to me, I like the setting of 10 better, with more monsters and villages and iuno, things like that, not so much advandced tech type stuff >.>.

Well yeah, if people suggest it then why wouldn't I (or any other person) try them. If you know that Japanese(or any other) are madly in love with this game franchise, wouldn't one care to sit down and read what they have to say about this game? I'm sorry if I sort of made you upset or anything, but knowing that a game is being criticized for not being good by the people who love and play it is what makes me think about why I shouldn't get this game.
